Terms of use and sale

Effective 2026-09-29. Draft awaiting the publisher's approval (OA-07, OA-B2-4). Items marked [PO decision] are business commitments awaiting the publisher's approval.

In short

  • The free versions are free to use, with no account.

  • Pro is sold by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which handles payment, taxes and invoices.

  • Pro is sold two ways: a one-time purchase (you pay once, nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel) or a monthly subscription with no commitment, which renews every month until you cancel it online, at any time; Pro then stays active until the end of the month already paid (section 5). Prices shown include any VAT or sales tax (section 4).

  • If Pro is not right for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first purchase of Pro for that product, one-time or monthly. Later monthly payments are not refunded, except when an update removes a Pro feature (section 6).

  • Pro checks your license online about once a day and keeps working offline for up to 30 days after the last successful check (section 4).

  • Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumer law gives you.

1. Who we are

The extensions Gridlift, Bollard, Catchword, Calque, Tidemark, Bonefolder, Cartouche, Assay, Pantograph and Diglot ("the products") are published by RISEVA, 33 boulevard Mendès France, 77600 Bussy-Saint-Georges, France ("we"). Contact: contact@riseva.fr. Legal details are in the legal notice.

2. Using the products

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use each product, for private or professional purposes, in accordance with these terms. You may not resell the products, circumvent their license checks, or use them to break the law or the rights of others (for example, to copy content you are not allowed to copy). Reverse engineering is allowed only as far as the law permits it.

Third-party components included in a product remain under their own licenses. Each product lists these components and their licenses in a notices file shipped with it (THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt), linked from its About section; nothing in these terms restricts the rights those licenses give you. The limit on reverse engineering above does not apply to these components. When a component's license requires it — for example the Mozilla Public License 2.0 of the mediabunny library included in Pantograph — the notices file also says where to get that component's source code.

You are responsible for what you save, record or export with a product and for how you use it. In particular, a bilingual copy made with Diglot is for your personal use: the original text belongs to its authors, so do not republish it or its translation without their permission. If you record other people with Pantograph, tell them before you start and get their consent where the law requires it.

Each product runs in Google Chrome and is distributed through the Chrome Web Store; Google's terms also apply to that store.

3. Free and Pro

The free version of each product is described on its page and in its store listing. Pro adds the features listed there. We improve the products over time. We change or remove a Pro feature only for a valid reason — for example to follow changes in Chrome, in Chrome Web Store policies, in the websites a product works with or in the law, or for security — and never at an extra cost to you. If a change removes a Pro feature or makes it significantly worse, we tell you beforehand in the extension, on our website and, where our merchant of record allows it, by e-mail, with the date of the change; section 6 explains how to get a refund.

4. Buying Pro

  • Seller. Pro is sold by Lemon Squeezy LLC, acting as reseller and merchant of record. Its buyer terms govern the payment transaction (prices, taxes, invoices, payment methods). We are the publisher of the software and grant the Pro license.

  • Price. The price is shown on our pricing page and at checkout, before you pay. It includes any VAT or sales tax: Lemon Squeezy, as the seller, calculates the tax included in it from your location.

  • Two offers. Every product sells Pro as a one-time purchase — you pay the price once; nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel — and as a monthly subscription, which section 5 covers. Both give the same Pro license, for the same number of installations. There is no free trial.

  • License key. After payment, you receive a license key by e-mail. Enter it in the extension's settings to turn on Pro. You can remove it from a browser in the extension's settings, for example to use it in another one.

  • License check. Pro checks your license with our license service about once a day when you are online. It keeps working offline for up to 30 days after the last successful check; after that, Pro pauses until the next successful check, and the free version keeps working.

  • What a Pro license includes. [PO decision] A Pro license is for one product and one person. Bought as a one-time purchase, it lasts for the life of the product, that is for as long as we distribute it (and, if we stop the product, as section 7 describes), not for the buyer's lifetime. Bought as a subscription, it lasts while the subscription is active (section 5). It includes:

    • that product's Pro features and all their updates, for as long as we distribute the product;

    • use at the same time on up to 5 Chrome installations for Gridlift, Bollard, Tidemark, Cartouche, Pantograph and Diglot, or up to 3 for Calque, Catchword, Bonefolder and Assay. Each Chrome profile where you activate the key counts as one installation until you remove the key from it in the extension's settings. If you can no longer do that (for example after uninstalling the extension or losing a computer), write to us and we will free that installation.

No paid major versions are planned: the updates of a product you bought are included. A Pro license does not include any paid online service we may sell separately (for example a sync service); such a service would have its own price and terms. If we stop updating a product, or stop selling or updating its Pro version, section 7 applies.

5. Subscriptions

This section applies to Pro bought as a monthly subscription, for as long as that subscription exists, even if the product no longer offers subscriptions to new buyers.

  • Duration and renewal. The subscription has no fixed term and no minimum commitment. It renews automatically every month, on the date of your first payment, until you cancel it. While it is active, your license includes the same Pro features, updates and installations as a one-time purchase; when it ends, Pro stops and the free version keeps working with your data.

  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, online and free of charge, in the customer portal of our merchant of record: the link is in the extension (Settings → License → Manage billing, shown even when Pro is not active in that browser), on our website (Support page, pricing page) and in your purchase e-mail. You can also ask us by e-mail. Cancelling stops future payments; it takes effect at the end of the month already paid, and Pro stays active until then. Removing the extension does not cancel the subscription.

  • Payments. Lemon Squeezy charges each month's price at the start of that month. If a payment cannot be collected after its retries, the subscription ends and Pro stops. Monthly payments are not refunded, except as section 6 provides.

  • Price changes. [PO decision] If we change the monthly price, we tell you by e-mail at least 30 days before; the new price applies from the first renewal after that notice, and you can cancel before it at no cost.

6. Refunds

  • 14-day money-back guarantee: the first time you buy Pro for a product, as a one-time purchase or as a subscription, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of the payment, without giving a reason. For a subscription, this refunds its first payment and ends the subscription. [PO decision]

  • Removed Pro feature: if an update removes a Pro feature you rely on or makes it significantly worse, ask for a refund within 30 days of that update: we refund a one-time purchase in full, or the last monthly payment of a subscription (which you can also cancel). [PO decision]

  • Monthly renewals: later monthly payments are not refunded; you can cancel at any time before the next one (section 5). [PO decision]

  • How to ask: ask Lemon Squeezy (link in your receipt) or write to us. Refunds go back to the original payment method. A refunded license stops working.

Your right of withdrawal (EU/UK consumers). As the seller, Lemon Squeezy informs you at checkout about your statutory right of withdrawal for digital content and how it applies when access starts immediately. Our 14-day money-back guarantee applies in addition to, and never instead of, your statutory rights.

7. If we stop a product [PO decision]

If we decide to stop a product — to stop updating it, or to stop selling or updating its Pro version — we will announce it in the extension, on our website and, where our merchant of record allows it, by e-mail, at least 90 days before the stop date. From the day of the announcement, Pro for that product is no longer sold. If you bought Pro for that product as a one-time purchase in the 6 months before the announcement, you can ask for a full refund until the stop date. Subscriptions to that product keep renewing until the final update below is published, and stop renewing then, at the latest on the stop date: Pro stays active until the end of the month already paid, then through that final update.

Before the license service for that product is switched off, we will publish a final update that keeps the Pro features working without a license check for customers who bought Pro as a one-time purchase or whose subscription was active on the day of the announcement or later. We will not switch that version off, and we will leave it available for installation from the Chrome Web Store for as long as Google allows. It receives no further updates, so later changes to Chrome or to websites may stop some features from working. This does not reduce your legal rights: the legal guarantee of conformity, and the updates, including security updates, that consumer law requires for the period you can reasonably expect after your purchase, still apply.

8. Your data

The privacy policy explains what data the products handle. In short: your content stays on your device, and our license service keeps only a pseudonymised record of your license.

9. Warranty and liability

We build the products carefully and test them, but web pages and browsers change: a product may not work on every page or every version of Chrome. You keep all the rights that consumer law gives you, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content.

Except for intent or gross negligence, death or personal injury, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for its Pro license (for a subscription, the amount paid in the 12 months before the claim). If you are a consumer, these limits do not apply where the law of the country where you live forbids them, as French law does. Keep your own copies of important data (for example, export your snippets regularly).

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add a product or change a price. We will publish the new version here with its effective date. Changes do not take away what you have already paid for: a one-time purchase keeps the license described when you bought it, and a subscription keeps its terms until the end of the month already paid. Price changes for subscriptions follow section 5.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of France. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts of that country. Please contact us first: most issues are solved by e-mail. Consumers may also use a free consumer mediation service: SMP — Société de la Médiation Professionnelle, www.mediateur-consommation-smp.fr.
