What Gridlift does

For analysts, researchers, journalists and anyone who moves tables from web pages into Excel or Google Sheets.

Lists every table and data grid on the page, with a preview, so you pick the right one.
Copies the table ready to paste into Excel or Google Sheets, or downloads it as CSV. No row limits.
Expands merged cells so every value lands in the right column, and keeps multi-row headers.
Uses the CSV delimiter your spreadsheet expects: a semicolon where decimals are written with a comma.
Neutralizes cells that a spreadsheet would run as formulas.

What stays on your device

Gridlift reads a page only when you click its icon or press its shortcut.
Tables are processed in your browser and never sent anywhere.
Your export settings are saved in Chrome, on this device.
With Pro, license checks send your license key and a random installation id. Never tables, pages or web addresses. Pro keeps working offline for up to 30 days after the last check.

What Gridlift asks Chrome for, and why.

At install: None. Gridlift has no access to your websites until you click it.
activeTab: Reads the current tab, only after you click the icon or press the shortcut.
scripting: Runs the table reader in that tab at that moment. Nothing runs on other pages.
storage: Saves your export settings and license status on this device.
alarms: Wakes about twice a day to re-check a Pro license when the last check is more than a day old.
