How do I install Gridlift?

Open Gridlift's page on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome, then confirm. To keep it one click away, click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Gridlift. You can also open it with Alt+Shift+G.

How do I export a table?

Open the page, click the Gridlift icon (or press Alt+Shift+G), pick the table in the list, then click Copy table (paste into Excel/Sheets) or Download.

Gridlift says "No table on this page".

Gridlift finds HTML tables and ARIA data grids. Some sites draw data with plain divs or canvas; those can't be read reliably yet. Tables inside cross-site frames (e.g. embedded widgets) can't be read either.

"Chrome doesn't let extensions read this page."

Chrome blocks all extensions on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store and some built-in viewers. Try a regular website.

Only some rows were exported.

Some sites load rows as you scroll ("virtualised" grids); Gridlift shows "Visible rows only" in that case. Scroll to load the rows you need, then reopen Gridlift.

Excel shows my CSV in one column / wrong accents.

In Settings, keep "Automatic" delimiter and "Add a byte-order mark". If your Excel uses a different regional setting than your browser, pick the delimiter explicitly.

Why does a cell start with an apostrophe?

It started with =, +, - or @, which spreadsheets would run as a formula. "Protect against formulas" neutralises it; you can turn this off in Settings.

How much is Pro, and how do I buy it?

Gridlift Pro is $29 including any VAT or sales tax, paid once (a one-time purchase: nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel), or $4.99 a month as a monthly subscription you can cancel anytime. Open Gridlift's settings and click an offer in the Gridlift Pro section. You pay on the checkout page of Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which also handles taxes and your invoice. Either way, one license covers Gridlift's Pro features and all their updates for one person; a one-time purchase covers them for as long as we distribute Gridlift.

How does the monthly subscription work, and how do I cancel it?

Gridlift Pro is also sold as a monthly subscription: $4.99 a month, including any VAT or sales tax, with no commitment and no free trial. It renews every month until you cancel it. To cancel, open Settings → License → Manage billing (the Lemon Squeezy customer portal; the same link is in your receipt e-mail and on the Support page of our website, and it stays there even when Pro is not active in this browser) and cancel the subscription there; the portal also changes your payment method and has your invoices. Pro stays on until the end of the month you already paid for; after that, Gridlift works as its free version, and you can buy Pro again at any time. Removing the extension does not cancel the subscription. Monthly payments are not refunded (except when an update removes a Pro feature: see section 6 of the terms of sale), but the 14-day money-back guarantee covers your first purchase of Gridlift Pro, one-time or monthly. The one-time purchase costs the same as about six months of the subscription.

How do I activate Pro?

After purchase you receive a license key by email. Open Settings → License, paste the key, click Activate. One license covers up to 5 Chrome installations at the same time (each Chrome profile where you activate it counts as one), for example your work and home computers. Pro checks your license about once a day when you are online and keeps working offline for up to 30 days after the last successful check. After that, Pro features pause until Gridlift can check again; the free features keep working.

How do I move Pro to another computer?

Settings → License → Remove license from this browser, then activate the key on the other browser. Removing it frees one of your 5 installations. If you can no longer open the old browser, write to us from the support page and we will free that installation.

How do I uninstall Gridlift?

If you use Pro, first open Settings → License → Remove license from this browser, which frees one of your 5 installations. Then open chrome://extensions, find Gridlift and click Remove (or right-click the Gridlift icon → Remove from Chrome). Uninstalling deletes Gridlift's settings and license from this browser; your license key stays valid for your other installations.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Ask within 14 days of your first purchase of Gridlift Pro, without giving a reason, through the link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt or by contacting us. The money goes back to your original payment method and the license stops working. The terms of sale have the details. For a monthly subscription, the 14 days count from your first payment; later monthly payments are not refunded (except when an update removes a Pro feature: see section 6 of the terms of sale), but you can cancel at any time so that the next one is not taken.

Does Gridlift send my data anywhere?

No. Tables and page titles are processed in your browser and never sent. The only network requests are license checks if you use Pro (license key + a random installation id, about once a day).
